The Serenity Spicer Scholarship honors the legacy of Maurice Spicer, a hardworking U.S. Marine who exemplified resilience, discipline, and dedication to hard work. This scholarship aims to support African American and Black students who are pursuing higher education in the fields of psychology or mental health.

At Serenity Soul Care, we are committed to supporting students who demonstrate a passion for advancing mental health care.

By offering financial assistance, we aim to foster the next generation of mental health professionals and contribute to the continued growth and well-being of individuals and communities.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Serenity Spicer Scholarship, applicants must:

1. High School Senior Status: Must be a graduating senior in high school.

2. GPA Requirement: Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

3. College/University Acceptance: Must have an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university, pursuing a major in psychology or clinical mental health.

4. Essay Submission: Must submit a 500-word essay that discusses your interest in psychology or clinical mental health, your career aspirations, and how this scholarship will support your academic journey.

5. Demographic Requirement: Must be a Black or African American student.

6. Letters of Recommendation: Must provide two letters of recommendation.

7. Official Transcript: Must submit an official high school transcript.

How To Apply

To apply for the Serenity Spicer Scholarship, please follow the steps below:

1. Complete the Application Form: Fill out the online application form below.

2. Submit the Required Documents:

   • Official high school transcript

   • Two letters of recommendation

   • A 500-word essay as per the criteria outlined above

   • Proof of acceptance from an accredited college or university

Award Details

The Serenity Spicer Scholarship offers a one-time award of $500. The funds may be applied toward tuition, fees, or other eligible educational expenses.
